Technoparks are special zones created by universities or similar organisations. These zones provide appropriate infrastructure and support to technology-orientated companies that generally carry out R&D activities. Technoparks are established to encourage innovation, support entrepreneurship activities and increase university-industry cooperation.
In line with its 2025 Vision, YTU Yıldız Technopark aims to be the regional leader with its Technology, Incubation and Marketing Centres across the world. It aims to have a place in global competition by realising its projects both nationally and internationally.
YTU Yıldız Technopark carries out its activities with the motivation of ensuring sustainability in university-industry cooperation. As a productive technology centre with high standards, it strengthens the national R&D and innovation infrastructure to support Turkey's 2023 targets. Through this co-operation, new technology companies are supported, foreign investment is attracted and exports are increased.
YTU Yıldız Technopark operates in many sectors such as artificial intelligence, software, telecommunications, electronics, pharmaceuticals, chemistry, aviation, health, food, energy, defence industry, construction and nutrition. In total, it hosts more than 700 R&D and incubation companies and more than 15 thousand qualified R&D and software personnel.
YTU Yıldız Technopark is a technology development zone established by Yıldız Technical University in 2003. It has achieved great success by ranking first 3 times in a row. YTU Yıldız Technopark offers opportunities in areas such as entrepreneurship and technology development, while transforming new ideas into value-added outputs. In addition, it operates on a total area of 177,664.49 square metres with its Ikitelli and Maslak campuses.
