The event was held at the YTU Yıldız Technopark in YTU Davutpasa Campus. It was attended by Volkan Palaz, General Manager of TOBB Trade Centers, and Orhan Tanışman, General Manager of YTU Yıldız Technopark, along with numerous guests and company representatives." The signed agreement covers collaborations in innovation, commercialization, and business incubation, enabling companies from the IT and technology sectors to expand into the American market through Chicago. This step taken towards increasing Türkiye's exports will support companies and businesspeople aiming to enter the American market. In the Chicago region, home to the headquarters and distribution centers of 300 companies listed on the Fortune 500, startups are highlighted as one of the primary points of contact, especially when they embark on investment tours.
"Our Companies Will Extend Their Reach Globally Through America with TOBB and YTU Yıldız Technopark Collaboration"
Orhan Tanışman, General Manager of YTU Yıldız Technopark, delivered the opening speech at the event, emphasizing the comprehensive nature of the collaboration with TOBB. He stated, "We are all aware of TOBB's pivotal role in Türkiye's trade. Meanwhile, as Technopark, we opened Turkey's first International Technology Marketing Office (UTPO) in Dubai three years ago to expand our country's technologies globally. This was a significant learning experience for us. By gaining the opportunity to see the position of Turkish technology in the world and how it will progress from now on, we facilitated the formation of a significant cultural exchange. While we establish our companies and develop our technology domestically, we place particular emphasis on sustaining this progress globally. Believing that being ranked first in Türkiye for three consecutive years is not sufficient; we aspire to achieve this success globally as well. So, we embarked on a journey with TOBB. America represents the largest market for technology. If you are present in America and can assert yourself from here, it signifies a noteworthy milestone globally. We operate our global activities with offices in America, Dubai, Uzbekistan, and London, and hopefully we will announce additional locations soon. Our goal is to expand Turkish expertise in collaboration with TOBB, opening doors to the world. Following that, Turkish technology companies will continue to get into the global market through America with the collaboration of TOBB and Yıldız Technopark. We have a structure that encompasses over 700 companies and reaches out to more than 1000 firms. Through this journey, we will collectively unlock an important gateway for Turkey's information technology exports."
"We Support Every Company Wishing to Export"
Volkan Palaz, General Manager of TOBB Trade Centers, emphasized during his presentation at the program that there are certain challenges in opening an office and conducting cooperation in America. He continued, "YTÜ Yıldız Technopark became the first Technopark to open an office in Chicago. We are an important institution representing Turkey's industry and trade. We support every company wishing to conduct independent exports in the sector. We will use our incentives to support this system and our entrepreneurs. In a competitive market like America, we need to stand on our own feet relying on our own strength. We have established our position based on this. We value the successful advancement of future’s highly skilled engineers, economists, businessmen, and entrepreneurs in America."
